Florida’s Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Education Program provides eligible 4-year-old children with access to free, high-quality early education. The program includes 540 instructional hours during the school year or 300 hours during the summer, helping children develop important skills before entering kindergarten.
Our VPK program focuses on key developmental and learning areas that support the whole child. Through hands-on activities, early academics, science, technology, creative exploration, and social interaction, children develop essential cognitive, language, motor, social, and emotional skills.
